I would argue saying that language is unequivocal is not entirely correct, and I think linguists will agree on this point as "figuring out" how language works and what words mean is a very hard task. In addition to this, some websites have already been displaying entirely machine generated content for short snippets, for instance in weather and finance. I might sound cynical but I have a hunch: many of the paid online writers (journalists, SEO writers, etc, I'm not talking about novelists or researcher / analysts here (yet)) have seen the degradation of the quality of their work, the arrival of automated texts, the increase of the "output" they need to "produce" to generate clicks, and a very sharp decrease in their pay in the past 20 years. I might be wrong, but sadly it wouldn't surprise me too much if they adopted a utilitarian thinking where a bunch of them are mostly OK with leveraging a technology that helps them save some time and meet deadlines for social media posts, engaging "content" creation, newsletter headlines, marketing copy and so on and so forth. What do you think?
